The South Okanagan Whiskey Tasting Society (SOWTS) was formed in 2002 by a group of like-minded enthusiasts who gathered to share their knowledge and appreciation of whiskey.

SOWTS membership has steadily grown over the years to the current level of around 140 members.

The society holds five whiskey tasting events each year.

SOWTS is a non-profit organization registered in the province of British Columbia, Canada.
